For All You Do Birthday Card

This fantastic birthday card was made using SU's 'For All You Do' and 'Happy Thoughts' stamp sets. It is 4-3/4 inches square, and opens to the side. I stamped the stem onto Whisper white, and then stamped the flowers onto it where I knew I would add popped up, cut out flowers. I used a metal ruler to add the lines around the image, and punched the corners with the Ticket corner punch. The designer paper is 'Cottage Wall', which I am very fond of now! I machine stitched it to the layers of Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White.
The circular sentiment is stamped in Old Olive, and layered over circle and scalloped circle punched papers. The brads are from my old stash of HOTP products, which I forget to use all the time!! :) They match the Razzleberry perfectly! (I got lucky!) I threaded the polka dot ribbon through a slot punched in the main image, and it was not easy! It took several tries to get it tied just right!

The inside mirrors the front, with nice paper layers and machine stitching. I added the extra flower to further coordinate. I think it turned out rather well, and I may just have to make another one just like it! It is always good to have birthday cards on hand!
I was able to spend some time creating today, and finished several new cards. It snowed here all day, though it has pretty much melted now! (thank goodness!) I am still feeling like Fall...not Winter!! I made two any-occasion cards, and a cute birthday card with a bear and flowers! Very sweet! I will post pics here when I get them!
Have a great night! Hope you find time to create today!

Papertrey Autumn Abundance

Did I tell you that I LOVE this stamp set from PTI? It is actually the first one I have bought from them, and am I SOLD!!! I will be buying more of their fantastic stamps in the near future! I have quite an extensive wish list, which I keep in a journal, of all the companies and their goodies I wish I had. Just crossing them off as I go! Papertrey is one of them!! Awesome goodness!

The main image and circular images were stamped with Chocolate Chip. watercolored with more dye inks, and then the circle was heat embossed for shine. The background paper is also PTI, and the cardstock from SU. I added sewing and buttons for a homemade touch. I think is a pretty busy card, but I like it just the same. I love Fall colors! My fave!
My husband took me out to breakfast this morning, as he had the day off, and I ordered Scandinavian Crepes with Sweet Cream Filling and Strawberries. Oh my...it was so good! I now have a favorite breakfast spot!! Thanks honey! :) I am going to get fat! It will be worth it!!
I just placed a substantial order at 7KidsCollegeFund, full of holiday goodies that I cannot wait to recieve!! LOVE shopping there! I cannot tell if I am addicted to card making, or shopping for card making....hmmm...hard call!
Stay tuned for more stamping goodness!

An Autumn Card

Hey there!

I am loving this new stamp set from Papertrey Ink called Autumn Abundance. The images are so lovely, and the sentiments are fantastic and elegant! They stamp very clearly as well. I am LOVING them for sure!

The card base is SU Natural White, then a layer of Cocoa under Tangerine. The patterned papers are the coordinating Autumn Abundance set from Papertrey, and I used orange thread stitches with my machine. The flower arrangement was stamped with SU Basic Black on Very Vanilla, and then watercolored with an aqua painter and SU inks. Then I applied 2 layers of clear embossing powder to make it super shiny. It turned out well. I cut the circles with nesties and adhered them with dimensional dots. I added twine, a corduroy button and Tangerine ribbon, and Vanilla brads to tie it all together!
I enjoyed this color combo also, the Tangerine, Cocoa, and Vanilla. Very vintage and feminine! I hope you enjoy it as well!
Thanks for stopping by!

My First Blog Post!

Well, here it is! I thought I'd never get into this blogging thing, and here I go! I have been snooping around everyone elses, so I thought I'd better create my own space to share with you.
I love creating handmade greeting cards, and will be sharing all of them here with you! Plus, I like to complain about my husband once in a while! :)

I guess I will start by sharing a Halloween card I created recently, since it is right around the corner.
The main image on the topper is from Stampin' Up!, as well as the cardstock. The background paper is from Basic Grey. Nesties, buttons, sewing, and ribbon was also used.
So much fun, I love Halloween!
Thanks for stopping by my first post! Leave a comment to let me know you were here!
