<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have been away from crafting for many months now because of life's little circumstances, but here I am today with some Autumnal gems!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My Aunt Tamy ran out of cards recently, so in an effort to keep her supplied, I created these seasonal beauties!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Enjoy!</div>

Hi!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I finished the cards for the purple rose box I created for the <a href="http://stampinsisterhood.blogspot.com/2012/01/its-challenege-day.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+StampinSisterhood+%28Stampin+Sisterhood%29">Sisterhood Sundays Challenge #8</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I thought I might link them up to the challenge as well, since they took me an extra 2 days to finish. I hope it's allowed by the challenge! :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
They turned out wonderfully!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Aw0MiQpJLrg/Tyx0RGvELKI/AAAAAAAAA2E/jRizAMoD2uc/s1600/Purple+Rose+Box+(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Aw0MiQpJLrg/Tyx0RGvELKI/AAAAAAAAA2E/jRizAMoD2uc/s320/Purple+Rose+Box+(2).JPG" width="265" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This time, for the blossoms I used the Floral Fusion die from SU, crumpling and distressing the petals with Pale Plum ink. This makes them a bit more mailable than those Spiral Blossoms from Spellbinders!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All of the cards are the same inside:</div>

Okay...yes I am in love with these boxes! I just can't help it! I am super charged with creative energy making them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This time I made an A-2 sized box, by tweaking the original dimensions with my husband, and also made it a little deeper. My husband is a whiz with numbers, and actually helped me create the dimensions for a 5-1/2 inch square box too. I am going to create a little picture tutorial for both as soon as I can, so watch for that soon. (And I am totally jacked up about creating a square box!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The inspiration for this sweet box comes from the Stampin Sisterhood blog, and their<a href="http://stampinsisterhood.blogspot.com/2012/01/its-challenege-day.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+StampinSisterhood+%28Stampin+Sisterhood%29"> Sisterhood Sunday Challenge #8</a>. The inspiration photos are to die for! I have it posted below, and the deadline is Saturday, Feb 4th at midnight...if you feel inspired! :)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U198OaibrJ0/TymRraNr5cI/AAAAAAAAA1c/1hFx8Asdw-8/s1600/Purple+Roses+Box+(1).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U198OaibrJ0/TymRraNr5cI/AAAAAAAAA1c/1hFx8Asdw-8/s320/Purple+Roses+Box+(1).JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I just received the Spiral Blossom One die and the Foliage die in the mail from 7kidscollegefund.com (one of my favorite online shopping sites), and since they are new to me, I can enter my cute box into <a href="http://www.fridaymashup.com/2012/01/fm43-try-something-new.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheFridayMashup+%28The+Friday+Mashup%21%29">The Friday Mashup Challenge #43</a>. It is actually a sketch challenge, with the second option to 'use something new', or to 'mash it up' by combining both options. The sketch wasn't working for me for the box top.....sorry. (but it's a good sketch!!)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8UPGPDXpIlA/TymRsc0ZpWI/AAAAAAAAA1k/w4kyh0o2Y8s/s1600/Purple+Roses+Box+(4).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="280" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8UPGPDXpIlA/TymRsc0ZpWI/AAAAAAAAA1k/w4kyh0o2Y8s/s320/Purple+Roses+Box+(4).JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These two photos show you where I hid my Velcro fastener. I used the SU Lots of Tags Label 1 Sizzlets die to make the tab, scored it in half, stitched on a Plum Pudding button, and adhered the tab under the box top. then I lined up the Velcro stickers and pressed. easy!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Doesn't it look more like a jewelry box?</div>

Hello fellow papercrafters and stampers!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have a project to share with you that took several days to complete, inspired by the <a href="http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2012/01/color-throwdown-176.html">Color Throwdown Challenge #176</a>. I did not know that the projects need to be linked to that site by the Sunday following each challenge, so I missed the deadline by 2 days. Now I know! :) I don't think I would have made it even if I knew, to be honest. I am a slow crafter, and 4 days just doesn't cut it!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is my card box:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1wdOorlONWM/Tyg3VGtJX_I/AAAAAAAAAz8/9fOgtn6cW1g/s1600/True+Friend+Box+(8).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1wdOorlONWM/Tyg3VGtJX_I/AAAAAAAAAz8/9fOgtn6cW1g/s320/True+Friend+Box+(8).JPG" width="283" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made this set for my friend April, who is a super great gal, with a take no prisoner's attitude! She loves country and rock n roll, and is sort of a gypsy spirit. She can sing karaoke like you would not believe! She's really cool! :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So I tried to make the box reflect my feelings for her by using SU stamp sets True Friend and Charming. They went together really well, I have to admit.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vxKpYoKTa8M/Tyg3Wa04zFI/AAAAAAAAA0E/6Z94uPmLlI0/s1600/True+Friend+Box+(9).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="243" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vxKpYoKTa8M/Tyg3Wa04zFI/AAAAAAAAA0E/6Z94uPmLlI0/s320/True+Friend+Box+(9).JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Soft Sky dsp was stamped randomly with the medallions from True Friend, and the script stamp from Charming, all in Chocolate Chip ink. I also added direct ink-to-paper distressing to all of the edges, layers, and elements with Chocolate Chip ink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added a little bit of fun sewing to the sentiment label, but am not too happy with it. I need more practice to look a little more precise-yet-random. ha!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ynpkyDULomE/Tyg3XawQbyI/AAAAAAAAA0M/JDuFnvoH4tQ/s1600/True+Friend+Box+(10).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ynpkyDULomE/Tyg3XawQbyI/AAAAAAAAA0M/JDuFnvoH4tQ/s320/True+Friend+Box+(10).JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I found these Velcro fastener stickers at Hobby Lobby for like a buck, and thought they'd be great on these card boxes. I was right! LOVE them!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MnxUcC4heZ0/Tyg3YYBSCGI/AAAAAAAAA0U/QayxwwOuomM/s1600/True+Friend+Box+(11).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MnxUcC4heZ0/Tyg3YYBSCGI/AAAAAAAAA0U/QayxwwOuomM/s320/True+Friend+Box+(11).JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is a shot of the note cards I created. The cards come together so easily after creating the box. It's like, all the hard work is done once the box is designed so all you have to do is match the cards to the box. It just flows freely. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XEqzBkpyTPQ/Tyg3aMMwhSI/AAAAAAAAA0c/k-e5MevdRYk/s1600/True+Friend+Box+(7).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XEqzBkpyTPQ/Tyg3aMMwhSI/AAAAAAAAA0c/k-e5MevdRYk/s320/True+Friend+Box+(7).JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here are close-ups of each note card. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
They each measure 3-1/2 by 4-1/4 inches.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This top one is my favorite of the group!</div>

<span style="font-size: large;">Hey there! Happy Tuesday!</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had some time to create again today, and found two challenges that inspired me greatly!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The <a href="http://www.palspaperarts.com/2012/01/ppa127-sketch-challenge.html">Pal's Paper Art's sketch challenge</a>, and the <a href="http://cr84fncolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2012/01/cr84fn46.html">CR84FN color challenge</a>!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6FNx1huWhRo/Tx8ofIeIgjI/AAAAAAAAAzc/v0Ktv9OKflo/s1600/sherrie%2527s+cards+001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6FNx1huWhRo/Tx8ofIeIgjI/AAAAAAAAAzc/v0Ktv9OKflo/s320/sherrie%2527s+cards+001.JPG" width="254" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I really enjoyed breaking out my watercoloring brush and classic inks for this image from 'On the Grow' by Stampin' Up!. It is so pretty, and this is the first time I have inked it. (Like I said previously, it's been almost a year since I felt crafty).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think this image and the papers are perfect together. Here is a close-up shot:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Both of the challenges end very soon, so off I go to get them linked!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I wanted to pop in and share another card box I created for another friend of mine. I actually made this box during the first week of January, before the beautiful blue one in the last post.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Well, if anyone has been missing me, you just wouldn't know it. ha! </div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have not crafted ANYTHING in a year! Guess I was totally uninspired or just plain burned out! I have, though, been keeping an eye on the online crafty goodness, and occasionally popped in with a comment, or tryed to win blog candy or contests like PTI each month. I just could not bring myself to pick up the scissors or glue!</div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Until now!!</div>
<div align="center" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The <a href="http://www.palspaperarts.com/2012/01/ppa126-color-challenge.html">Pal's Paper Arts blog challenge LAST WEEK</a> was a beautiful color combo, which suited my project just fine! (I missed the deadline for posting though) I wanted to make a friend of mine a box of note cards because she had done me a HUGE favor. And here it is!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nXV0V2Kn9R8/TxdIZ0oca4I/AAAAAAAAAws/2ALopE1huI4/s1600/ppa126.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nXV0V2Kn9R8/TxdIZ0oca4I/AAAAAAAAAws/2ALopE1huI4/s1600/ppa126.png" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The box was crafted from a tutorial from Betsy Veldman, of PTI royalty. She had posted the instructions on her blog <a href="http://scrapbookgirl.typepad.com/paper_scissors_and_superh/2011/09/echo-park-guest-a-giveaway.html">HERE</a> if you want to try it. It is super easy, and you can decorate to your hearts content!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GrdCIb42fSk/TxdIeqmASLI/AAAAAAAAAw0/__EhQBE7QC4/s1600/031.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="211" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GrdCIb42fSk/TxdIeqmASLI/AAAAAAAAAw0/__EhQBE7QC4/s320/031.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WORFYdM6qqE/TxdIfus4DII/AAAAAAAAAw8/DaJlNWZ2RqA/s1600/032.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WORFYdM6qqE/TxdIfus4DII/AAAAAAAAAw8/DaJlNWZ2RqA/s320/032.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BXPGdngu9LA/TxdIgDl7JRI/AAAAAAAAAxE/9EQCMSJeN-M/s1600/033.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BXPGdngu9LA/TxdIgDl7JRI/AAAAAAAAAxE/9EQCMSJeN-M/s320/033.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made six note cards to include inside, all matching the box, of course! It was so fun and easy to do! I just made lots of stamped flowers and cut them out, stamped the sentiments and matted each one and added some sewing, and then cut 6 of the Not Quite Navy dsp rectangles, matted and stitched them. Then I just arranged each one differently, and added ribbon here and there! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It took much less time to make the cards than the box, for sure! :)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Can you tell I was totally absorbed in creativity?</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-76N8IKufD9c/TxdIiE5-xpI/AAAAAAAAAxc/jj0rpQut8JI/s1600/036.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="238" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-76N8IKufD9c/TxdIiE5-xpI/AAAAAAAAAxc/jj0rpQut8JI/s320/036.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-syp_QTblLKU/TxdIjCg35TI/AAAAAAAAAxk/wDrt8qMab90/s1600/037.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="242" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-syp_QTblLKU/TxdIjCg35TI/AAAAAAAAAxk/wDrt8qMab90/s320/037.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The 'I'm Praying for You' card is my favorite of the bunch! But they all turned out great! Even my husband was impressed, and that is not easy to do!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-csP-TyyBNlo/TxdIkvsaNnI/AAAAAAAAAxs/L-qRZrTtJGw/s1600/039.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="244" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-csP-TyyBNlo/TxdIkvsaNnI/AAAAAAAAAxs/L-qRZrTtJGw/s320/039.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Each note card measures 3-1/2 by 4-7/8 inches. You can't tell from any of the pictures, but I sprayed the box and cards all over with white Smooch Spritz! They shimmer and shine like you would not believe! I love that stuff!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My friend absolutely loved this gift, and I am not sure if she will be able to send the cards or not. But I hope so, share the love I say!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I will surely be making many more of these gifts for my family and friends. I already have a list of gals I know, who would love them! And tons of color combos and stamp sets in mind!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by my blog, if you are here, I appreciate it!</div>

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-size: large;">Howdy!</span></strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It's been about a month and a half since I created a card or even posted on this blog, so bare with me as I try to get it done right now.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I managed to create a card this week, and I used this sweet image from<a href="http://designed2delight.com/"> Designed2Delight</a> called 'Kaela's Spring Bouquet'. It is gorgeous!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">One thing I love most about creating with digital stamps is the ability to make them any size you want. You can make huge, card sized flowers, or tiny little background patterns out of any image! It's so fun!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-MMsecbdnZKQ/TYVhYRHKRQI/AAAAAAAAAwY/pDthwzRAcb8/s1600/d2d+kaelas+bouquet.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="352" r6="true" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-MMsecbdnZKQ/TYVhYRHKRQI/AAAAAAAAAwY/pDthwzRAcb8/s400/d2d+kaelas+bouquet.1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy stamps, the papers are Cosmo Cricket's Pixie-lisious. The first time using each! The ribbon is PTI's Plum Pudding. The flowers are watercolored with SU inks and an aqua brush.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My sewing is terrible, and I actually used some ribbon to cover up a very bad goof on the vertical panel! It's all good now! LOL!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Okay, I guess that sums it up!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I hope you enjoyed my creation, and I really appreciate you stopping by my neglected blog! I will try to squeeze in some crafting more often! I promise!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Have a very creative night!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div align="center">Hey!</div><div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center">I created this card for the February D2D Potluck Game at PaperCraftPlanet this weekend. The card measures 5-1/2 inches square, and is composed of crafty ingredients chosen by the D2D group members. I used 8 out of the 10 suggested items. It was a lot of fun!</div><div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center">We plan to host another Designed2Delight party next month also! So watch for that announcement as we get closer to March!</div><div align="center"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hello! I hope you have all had a chance to jump over to the <a href="http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/designed2delight">Designed2Delight CDAC group</a> for the Delightfully Digital Party this weekend! There are some awesome challenges going on, and something fun Saturday too! Don't miss out! You could win one of several gift certificates to the <a href="http://designed2delight.com/prestashop">Designed2Delight Digital Stamp Shop</a>!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here is the card I created for the <a href="http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/designed2delight/forum/topics/february-delightfully-digital">Digital Challenge</a>. This month we are supposed to create our own digital patterned paper with any D2D digi. I used the current freebie from Faith's progressive challenge 'Big Heart' and a new digi 'Kitty's Big Heart'.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TUyn3V2IbMI/AAAAAAAAAvo/40wmitYG2Aw/s1600/Kitty%2527s+Big+Heart+Card+005.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="343" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TUyn3V2IbMI/AAAAAAAAAvo/40wmitYG2Aw/s400/Kitty%2527s+Big+Heart+Card+005.1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here is a look at my homemade digital paper before I colored it:</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TUyn8pLkpHI/AAAAAAAAAvs/k0961KAL6Mc/s1600/Kitty%2527s+Big+Heart+Card+001.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="240" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TUyn8pLkpHI/AAAAAAAAAvs/k0961KAL6Mc/s320/Kitty%2527s+Big+Heart+Card+001.1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Not too good! When I created the paper using <a href="http://pixlr.com/">pixlr.com</a>, the images were sharp, and they were supposed to be a Rose Red color. But when I printed them out on my white cardstock they were all blurry and more of a Rich Razzleberry color. I tried and tried to get them the way I wanted, but my printer seemed to think they looked great this way! There was a lot of COPY, PASTE, COPY, PASTE, COPY, PASTE, COPY, PASTE!!</div><div style="text-align: center;">So here is a picture after I added some Razzleberry and Regal Rose watercoloring to the images: </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TUyoHDaQTSI/AAAAAAAAAvw/kS3sDIU6ZYQ/s1600/Kitty%2527s+Big+Heart+Card+002.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="365" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TUyoHDaQTSI/AAAAAAAAAvw/kS3sDIU6ZYQ/s400/Kitty%2527s+Big+Heart+Card+002.1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Much better, I'd say! So I went with the Razzleberry, Regal Rose, and Going Grey color scheme, because I knew the cat had to be gray!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TUyrm44RDtI/AAAAAAAAAv0/TzNaQV0T4JM/s1600/Kitty%2527s+Big+Heart+Card+004.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" h5="true" height="257" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TUyrm44RDtI/AAAAAAAAAv0/TzNaQV0T4JM/s320/Kitty%2527s+Big+Heart+Card+004.1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">That kitty is super cute! Hey! He's got my ribbon! Get back here cat! I NEED that!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hope you all join in the fun at CDAC! Faith has some surprises up her sleeve!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Have a totally creative weekend!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I have another creation to share tonight! I have actually combined two challenges together, which I never do. I try to stick with one at a time, but these went together like peas and carrots!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The <a href="http://stampincelebration.blogspot.com/2011/01/stampin-celebration-inspiration_20.html">Stampin' Celebration Inspiration Challenge #36</a>, and the <a href="http://www.palspaperarts.com/2011/01/ppa77-a-sketch-challenge.html">Pal's Paper Art's Sketch Challenge #77</a>.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TT5Hli4aYpI/AAAAAAAAAvM/9lnoZDCjJr8/s1600/cards+005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="321" s5="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TT5Hli4aYpI/AAAAAAAAAvM/9lnoZDCjJr8/s400/cards+005.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here's a look at the sketch:</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TT5HqvluyzI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/9C-3ZkJCmso/s1600/PPA77.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="153" s5="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TT5HqvluyzI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/9C-3ZkJCmso/s200/PPA77.bmp" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">And the inspiration:</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TT5HuMsn6WI/AAAAAAAAAvU/CyZO8ysASq8/s1600/SCIC36%255B1%255D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" s5="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TT5HuMsn6WI/AAAAAAAAAvU/CyZO8ysASq8/s200/SCIC36%255B1%255D.JPG" width="200" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My card is 100% Stampin' Up! products, which is so awesome! I have so much stuff from SU, and hardly use any of it. My goal is to dig into it and use it! I am so happy to have found these wonderful SU challenge sites to inspire and motivate me! Thanks guys! (gals!)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Have the most creative day!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

Usually cards can take me hours to make, so you know this is a great mojo making sketch!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TT5EB0RCb3I/AAAAAAAAAvI/YURQA2KPbGE/s1600/cards+001.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="312" s5="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TT5EB0RCb3I/AAAAAAAAAvI/YURQA2KPbGE/s400/cards+001.1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The flower is a digital stamp from <a href="http://designed2delight.com/">Designed2Delight</a> called 'Royal Blossom'. It comes in the <a href="http://designed2delight.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=111">'Princess Wishes'</a> birthday set. I printed the image out twice on different papers from the latest Stampin' Up! hostess paper pack. I cut them out with my snips and layered them together. The background is an acetate sheet from SU, and the trim is from WalMart. The sentiment stamp is PTI's Friends Til' The End set.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Alrighty then...off I go!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thanks so much for stopping by!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

This is a new-to-me challenge, and I was inspired by the photos and the fact that the design team uses Stampin' Up products for their fabulous inspirational designs. I need some good inspiration to use all of my SU stuff!! AND the fact that they are having some BLOG CANDY certainly does not hurt either!! :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TTTu6-PxnaI/AAAAAAAAAu8/X5a-1nXpOw0/s1600/SCIC35+take+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" n4="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TTTu6-PxnaI/AAAAAAAAAu8/X5a-1nXpOw0/s320/SCIC35+take+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The inspiration photo's are all about a party! Looks like a birthday party with all of the bright colors and ballons! I see some cake too!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here is what I was able to come up with:</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TTTu_bSxj2I/AAAAAAAAAvA/WWxpeeBfEBE/s1600/Happy+Moments+002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" n4="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TTTu_bSxj2I/AAAAAAAAAvA/WWxpeeBfEBE/s400/Happy+Moments+002.JPG" width="397" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I was not sure if I had to use all SU products to play in this challenge, but I thought I'd be better off safe than sorry! And I realized that I had no SU stamps of balloons. What's a girl to do? (I added it to my wish list!)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I remembered my stamp set 'Happy Moments', and used the presents because the cake stamp looked too girly. I went with polka dots to replace the lack of balloons!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I grabbed Pacific Point and Pumpkin Pie papers, Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point cardstocks, my paper piercer and pad, a Pumpkin Pie corduroy button, some Pacific Point ribbon, and a needle and thread. I added some embossed dots with my cuttlebug, and some dabs of color with a stipple brush. I colored the image with SU classic inks and a waterbrush.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I wanted to sew the three panels, but was running short on time. It looks a little bare to me now! But we will call it 'clean and simple'!! :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Okay, thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Have a very creative day!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thank you to everyone who participated in the Delightfully Digital Challenge and party this last weekend! I had fun talking with all of you, and checking out the creativity! I can't wait to do it again next month! It really is a lot of fun giving away free digital stamps!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSkLg0pb_9I/AAAAAAAAAug/Sk5tSNTBS94/s1600/bigsurprisebearD2D3.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" n4="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSkLg0pb_9I/AAAAAAAAAug/Sk5tSNTBS94/s400/bigsurprisebearD2D3.1.jpg" width="368" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I made this card for my neighbor, who requested a bright and cheery card for her grandmother who had hip replacement surgery recently. She also wanted the card to convey her sympathy and well wishes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I chose the <a href="http://designed2delight.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=36">D2D digi 'Big Surprise Bear'</a> because he looks so shy and concerned, like we would feel visiting someone in the hospital. And he brought flowers too! :)</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSkLmwWs6OI/AAAAAAAAAuk/fxUEogXNHvY/s1600/bigsurprisebearD2D2.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" n4="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSkLmwWs6OI/AAAAAAAAAuk/fxUEogXNHvY/s400/bigsurprisebearD2D2.1.jpg" width="305" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I watercolored him with SU! markers and a water brush, then popped up a second layer for poshness!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSkLsMYTU9I/AAAAAAAAAuo/z7MeNnlbx8w/s1600/bigsurprisebearD2D.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" n4="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSkLsMYTU9I/AAAAAAAAAuo/z7MeNnlbx8w/s400/bigsurprisebearD2D.1.jpg" width="386" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I left the inside blank so that my neighbor could fill it with love and get well wishes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">She loved it! I hope her grandmother does too!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

There is a digital challenge, a fun game, and a couple more ways to win some new Valentine's Day digi's! Come and join us Friday through Sunday, January 9th!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSTj93OXmGI/AAAAAAAAAuU/TRDFckDldN8/s1600/Love+You+Bear+D2D+003.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" n4="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSTj93OXmGI/AAAAAAAAAuU/TRDFckDldN8/s320/Love+You+Bear+D2D+003.1.jpg" width="285" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Okay, I admit it, I am a beginner. I do not have any expensive or fancy software on my computer. I have no clue how to use them either. I usually use digital stamps 'as is', only resizing them in 'windows photo gallery' as I print them. So when I decided to do this digital challenge, I had to get with the program, and fast!! LOL! I took it easy on myself though, and combined the cute image <a href="http://designed2delight.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=51">'Be Mine Bear'</a> with a sentiment image from the digi set <a href="http://designed2delight.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=18">'Love A Latte'</a>. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Baby steps, ladies! Baby steps!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSTkGxEp3RI/AAAAAAAAAuY/iWz5jSvj8_A/s1600/Love+You+Bear+D2D+005.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" n4="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TSTkGxEp3RI/AAAAAAAAAuY/iWz5jSvj8_A/s320/Love+You+Bear+D2D+005.1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">To combine the images, I used a FREE and EASY online photo editing website called <a href="http://www.pixlr.com/">pixlr.com</a>.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><u>Here is how I added a portion of the sentiment to the digital stamp:</u></span></div><ul><li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Go to <a href="http://www.pixlr.com/">pixlr.com</a>; on the home page choose 'Open image from computer'. Find your first image in the window provided, following the prompts. For me it was the sentiment digi. Be sure to choose PNG files, which have a transparent background.</div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Click on 'FILE' on the upper left of screen, then click on 'OPEN IMAGE' to choose your 2nd image in the window provided, for me it was the 'Be Mine Bear'.</div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Click on the first image window to bring it to the front, select the 'CROP' tool from the top of the panel on the left hand side of the screen. Click and drag to create a rectangle around the portion of the sentiment you want to keep. For me, I kept the 'Love You' from the sentiment 'Love You A Latte'.</div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Click on 'EDIT' on the upper left of screen, and choose 'SELECT ALL' which will complete the crop with a blinking border. (I am not sure if that is the right way to do it - but it worked for me!)</div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Click on 'Edit' again, choosing 'COPY' then</div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Click on the second image window to bring it to the front. Click on 'EDIT' and then 'PASTE' to place the sentiment on the image. </div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Select the 'MOVE TOOL' from the top of the panel on the left hand side of the screen, then click on the sentiment and drag for placement on the image.</div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><u>IF THE SENTIMENT IS TOO BIG</u> click on 'EDIT' and then 'UNDO' to remove it from the image. Click on the sentiment window to bring it forward again, then click on 'IMAGE' on the upper left hand side of screen, and select 'IMAGE SIZE' to adjust as desired. Then, click on 'EDIT', 'SELECT ALL' then 'EDIT', 'COPY'.</div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Click on the 2nd image window, and click 'EDIT' and 'PASTE'. Click on the sentiment and drag it where you want it again. (*You may need to adjust, select all, copy, bring 2nd image forward, paste, move, and undo - several times to get the size just right.)</div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Then be sure to save your new image by clicking on 'FILE' on the upper left of screen, then 'SAVE'. A window will pop up where you can change the name of your image and choose what kind of file it will be. Then another window will pop up asking you where to save it. Follow the prompts. Save your new sentiment digi the same way. </div></li>
<li><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">THEN PRINT!!</div></li>
</ul><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I hope these steps help you. Play around with a few images, and practice putting them together. It was easier than I thought it would be, for sure!!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #cc0000; font-size: x-large;">.............................</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Several of the Designed2Delight Design Team members combine images on their creations all the time! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hello!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Just sharing some snapshots of Christmas cards I created this weekend for family and friends. These were fairly quick and easy, and without a lot of 3D for mailing purposes. It can get spendy mailing chunky cards! Although, these are square and did require the additional surcharge for postage.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TQ-iRM6OQpI/AAAAAAAAAts/q12rj0JOp7g/s1600/cards+011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="235" n4="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TQ-iRM6OQpI/AAAAAAAAAts/q12rj0JOp7g/s320/cards+011.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Sorry about the messy craft space there as well! I've been busy with Christmas prep (as we all are) and have not cleaned things up much.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Inside each card is a simple square of white cardstock for personal messages, as these are only 4 inches square. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I took a big step away from my Christmas cards, which I actually had to shove to the side, to create this wonderful Thank You card. The red and green was getting to me, and I needed a bright D2D creation to kick in my mojo. I think the bold combo of Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, and Peach Parfait was quite a trip in the opposite direction, don't you? Aaahhh, I feel much better!! :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is the <a href="http://designed2delight.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=104">'Poppy'</a> digi from the <a href="http://designed2delight.com/prestashop/product.php?id_product=104">'Beautiful Life'</a> set, available at <a href="http://designed2delight.com/prestashop">Designed2Delight Digital Stamps</a>.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I <em>LOVE</em> it!! Can't you tell? I printed it out to 5 x 3.5 inches directly on patterned paper, and cut out the images. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TQayGzig8YI/AAAAAAAAAtc/NzA7TBibj7c/s1600/d2d+poppy+005.1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" n4="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TQayGzig8YI/AAAAAAAAAtc/NzA7TBibj7c/s320/d2d+poppy+005.1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">A look inside:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Those are scraps from creating the card front, and I mirrored the sewing from the card front inside to create some balance.</div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Alrighty, that's all I have for today!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I hope you are not sick of Christmas preparations yet! I am almost done shopping, and my cards are well, <em>almost</em> finished! LOL! I need about 10 more, then to get them in the mail on time....yikes! Welcome back to another Warm & Cozy Winter Recipe!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Today's recipe is a fairly common one, with many variations available. But this one is the BEST!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TP6GDTcAg6I/AAAAAAAAAtI/Q3un8Pd9__M/s1600/j0433962.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ox="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TP6GDTcAg6I/AAAAAAAAAtI/Q3un8Pd9__M/s1600/j0433962.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #e06666; font-size: large;">No Bake Chocolate Drops</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(from my mom, who got it from her mom, who may or may not have added her own touch)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">ingredients:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/2 c. butter</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/2 c. milk</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2 c. sugar</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">4 Tbsp. cocoa</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">3/4 c. peanut butter</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 tsp. vanilla</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/2 c. coconut</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">3-1/2 c. oatmeal</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">instructions:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">In large saucepan melt butter; add milk and sugar. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Let boil 2 minutes then reduce heat to low. Stir in cocoa and peanut butter until smooth. Add vanilla, coconut and oatmeal, mix well. Remove from heat and drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper working quickly before mixture cools and dries too much to form cookies. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Makes 48</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TP6GDTcAg6I/AAAAAAAAAtI/Q3un8Pd9__M/s1600/j0433962.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ox="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TP6GDTcAg6I/AAAAAAAAAtI/Q3un8Pd9__M/s1600/j0433962.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I like to use this recipe during the Christmas season because there is no baking involved, and it's more like fudge than cookies. I usually make several types of holiday cookies, and this one fits right on the plate next to them! (And does not last long!)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I have seen this recipe on many websites and cookbooks, but most do not call for the peanut butter. It makes a world of difference to add it! Yum!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">~</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I've got another yummie cookie recipe for you tomorrow!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">See you there!</div>Sherrie Connerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14604432086027084205noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3934776252285196031.post-14996327971248588742010-12-11T06:00:00.000-08:002010-12-11T06:00:03.710-08:00Warm & Cozy Winter Recipes {Day 11}<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hey there!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I hope you have found a recipe or two to add to your box! It is THE favorite of my kids and husband!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TP5923agq3I/AAAAAAAAAtE/JW7UKN1Pa6k/s1600/j0433962.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ox="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TP5923agq3I/AAAAAAAAAtE/JW7UKN1Pa6k/s1600/j0433962.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="color: #e06666; font-size: large;">Tex-Mex Chicken and Rice Casserole</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">(from the Better Homes and Gardens website)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">prep time: 20 minutes, bake: 25 minutes</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">ingredients:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/2 cup chopped onion (1 medium)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 Tbsp. olive oil</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 6.9 ounce package chicken flavored rice and vermicelli mix</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 14 ounce can chicken broth</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2 cups water</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2 cups chopped cooked chicken or turkey</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 cup chopped seeded tomatoes (2 medium)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">3 Tbsp. canned diced green chile pappers</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1 tsp. dried basil, crushed</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1-1/2 tsp. chili powder</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/8 tsp. cumin</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/8 tsp. black pepper</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (2 ounces)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">preparation:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">1. In a medium saucepan cook onion in hot oil over medium heat until tender. Stir in rice and vermicelli mix (including seasoning packet); cook and stir for 2 minutes.Stir in broth and water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes (liquid will not be fully absorbed).</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">2. Transfer the rice mixture to a large bowl. Stir in chicken, tomatoes, chile peppers, basil, cumin, chili powder, and black pepper. Transfer to a 2 quart casserole dish.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">3. Bake, covered, in a 425F ove rfor 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Makes 6 servings.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Make Ahead Directions:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Prepare as above through step 1. Cover and chill for up to 24 hours. Bake, covered, in a 425F oven about 40 minutes, or until heated through. Uncover and sprinkle with cheese. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TP5923agq3I/AAAAAAAAAtE/JW7UKN1Pa6k/s1600/j0433962.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" ox="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pvm5G8vS9QY/TP5923agq3I/AAAAAAAAAtE/JW7UKN1Pa6k/s1600/j0433962.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Honestly, you can skip the baking time on this one for a faster meal, but the baking does help meld the flavors together nicely. I always add way more cheese than the recipe calls for, and sometimes we use this as burrito filling along with lettuce and sour cream, in soft flour tortillas. It is so good!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">And, did I mention cheap? This meal will cost you about $7.oo to make, for the chicken, rice mix, broth, and veggies. Most of us have an entire cupboard of spices already, so we get off easy there, and get to put them to good use! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It's a keeper! Give it a try!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thanks so much for stopping by! And, thanks for all your sweet comments, I am so glad you are finding some new ideas for your families.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">See you tomorrow!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
