Autumn Splendor Card Selection

Hello there fellow crafters and stampers!

I have been away from crafting for many months now because of life's little circumstances, but here I am today with some Autumnal gems!
My Aunt Tamy ran out of cards recently, so in an effort to keep her supplied, I created these seasonal beauties!
Enjoy!

Hope you love the colors and textures of Fall as much as I do! I have many gorgeous project ideas running through my mind, and I hope to transfer them to paper soon!
I might make more cards along the lines of these that I have shared today....I need to finish off that paper pack! ha!

Until next time.....have a creative day!

Sherrie

SS8 Challenge- A2 Cards for Purple Roses Box

Hi!
I finished the cards for the purple rose box I created for the Sisterhood Sundays Challenge #8.
I thought I might link them up to the challenge as well, since they took me an extra 2 days to finish. I hope it's allowed by the challenge! :)

They turned out wonderfully!

This time, for the blossoms I used the Floral Fusion die from SU, crumpling and distressing the petals with Pale Plum ink. This makes them a bit more mailable than those Spiral Blossoms from Spellbinders!

All of the cards are the same inside:

Sorry about the bad lighting! It is getting dusky out now.

Here is another look at the box I created for the A2 cards:

I have decided to give this set of cards to my Aunt Tamy. She is the sweetest woman you could ever meet, always there for you, always smiling. I know this set will touch her heart!

Here is the inspiration peice from Sisterhood Sundays once more, so gorgeous! I know I will use it again and again!

Okay! Hope you enjoy them! Thanks for taking a look!

Have a wonderfully crafty weekend!

Sisterhood Sundays #8 and Friday Mashup #43 Card Box

Okay...yes I am in love with these boxes! I just can't help it! I am super charged with creative energy making them.
This time I made an A-2 sized box, by tweaking the original dimensions with my husband, and also made it a little deeper. My husband is a whiz with numbers, and actually helped me create the dimensions for a 5-1/2 inch square box too. I am going to create a little picture tutorial for both as soon as I can, so watch for that soon. (And I am totally jacked up about creating a square box!)

The inspiration for this sweet box comes from the Stampin Sisterhood blog, and their Sisterhood Sunday Challenge #8. The inspiration photos are to die for! I have it posted below, and the deadline is Saturday, Feb 4th at midnight...if you feel inspired! :)

I just received the Spiral Blossom One die and the Foliage die in the mail from 7kidscollegefund.com (one of my favorite online shopping sites), and since they are new to me, I can enter my cute box into The Friday Mashup Challenge #43. It is actually a sketch challenge, with the second option to 'use something new', or to 'mash it up' by combining both options. The sketch wasn't working for me for the box top.....sorry. (but it's a good sketch!!)

These two photos show you where I hid my Velcro fastener. I used the SU Lots of Tags Label 1 Sizzlets die to make the tab, scored it in half, stitched on a Plum Pudding button, and adhered the tab under the box top. then I lined up the Velcro stickers and pressed. easy!
Doesn't it look more like a jewelry box?

Here is the inspiration from the Stampin Sisterhood.....gorgeous, right?

And the Friday Mashup inspiration........

Okay, so I have not finished the cards for this box yet, so I will post the pics when they are done! (say, I'd better go do just that, right now!)
I am thinking 'sympathy', 'congratulations', and 'praying for you' type cards. What's your feel?

Have the most creative day!

Belated Color Throwdown 176 Card Box and Note Cards

Hello fellow papercrafters and stampers!
I have a project to share with you that took several days to complete, inspired by the Color Throwdown Challenge #176. I did not know that the projects need to be linked to that site by the Sunday following each challenge, so I missed the deadline by 2 days. Now I know! :) I don't think I would have made it even if I knew, to be honest. I am a slow crafter, and 4 days just doesn't cut it!

Here is my card box:

I made this set for my friend April, who is a super great gal, with a take no prisoner's attitude! She loves country and rock n roll, and is sort of a gypsy spirit. She can sing karaoke like you would not believe! She's really cool! :)
So I tried to make the box reflect my feelings for her by using SU stamp sets True Friend and Charming. They went together really well, I have to admit.

The Soft Sky dsp was stamped randomly with the medallions from True Friend, and the script stamp from Charming, all in Chocolate Chip ink. I also added direct ink-to-paper distressing to all of the edges, layers, and elements with Chocolate Chip ink.
I added a little bit of fun sewing to the sentiment label, but am not too happy with it. I need more practice to look a little more precise-yet-random. ha!

I found these Velcro fastener stickers at Hobby Lobby for like a buck, and thought they'd be great on these card boxes. I was right! LOVE them!

Here is a shot of the note cards I created. The cards come together so easily after creating the box. It's like, all the hard work is done once the box is designed so all you have to do is match the cards to the box. It just flows freely.

Here are close-ups of each note card.
They each measure 3-1/2 by 4-1/4 inches.
This top one is my favorite of the group!

Here is a look at the inspiration provided by Color Throwdown:

Well, I am sad that I missed the deadline! I hope someone out there is internet space will find it and enjoy it as much as I do!

If you do feel inspired by my creation, share a link with me! I'd love to come by and see it!

Have the most creative day!
